Admission Inquiry

Department aims to provide quality education in the domain of Electronics and Communication Engineering through periodically updated curriculum, effective teaching learning process, state of the art laboratory facilities and collaborative ventures with the industries.

Department follows Choice Based Credit Based System wherein the curriculum is periodically updated considering the feedback of faculty, students, Industries, Employers and external academicians. To cater the students’ diversity, various computer based courses, soft skills, English for professional purposes courses are taught as credit courses as a part of prescribed curriculum. Conventional Laboratories are supported with software co-simulation for better understanding of the theoretical concepts.

The Department has three major research groups:

  • Communication and Signal Processing
  • VLSI
  • Control and Embedded Systems

All Faculty members and students of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering are associated with at least one of the research groups. These three groups independently plan and progress in their own areas for learning and research. The department has three state of the art research centers ie LabVIEW Academy, Texas Instrument Innovation Centre and VLSI Design Centre.

The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 1998, with a vision to produce competent engineers capable of adding values to professional standards. The field of Electronics and Communication Technologies are changing at a rapid pace and touching every corners of our lives. The Department of ECE is dedicated towards grooming students and making them ready to meet the requirements of this competitive and rapidly evolving sector. The department has well qualified faculty members with considerable experience in academics, research and industry.

The laboratories of the department are well equipped with sophisticated equipment’s and professional EDA tools in the fields of Communication Engineering, Control and Embedded Systems, VLSI design, Digital Signal Processing, and Image Processing. The department emphasizes on the development of hands on skills of the students to complement their theoretical knowledge and as such the department organizes periodically conferences, training programs and workshops to train students with the latest technologies apart from the prescribed curriculum.

The department has a vibrant learning environment where all the students and faculty members nurture the spirit of innovation, creativity and contribute effectively to the advancement of technologies. The department has produced large number of highly accomplished alumni since its inception, who are serving across the globe as professionals in reputed national/ multinational companies, pursuing higher education and contributing into research and development. The proposed prototype automatically cut off the power supply and opens all the windows whenever the sensor detects the fire.

    We have fabricated a circuit of automatic dimmer device in which light falling over the light dependent resistor from the headlight of vehicle coming from the front automatically reduces the intensity of light by sensing it.

    Wireless home Automation system using IOT is a system that uses computers or mobile devices to control basic home functions and features automatically through internet from anywhere around the world.

    Object sorting Robot

    The project includes colour sensors that senses the items colour and lead the signal to the controller. The microcontroller guides signal to the motor driving circuit which drives the different motors of the robotic arm to grasp the object and place it in the correct location. Depending upon the colour sensed the robotic arm goes to the correct location to releases the object and comes back to the normal potion.
