This course is oriented to bring out the curious academic research attitude of the scholarly students of mechanical engineering, so that their ability to find out new results and inventions may be utilized for the betterment of humanity around the globe.

In mechanical engineering, there are plenty of thrust areas, in which there exists a giant scope of new works to be done such as Thermal Engineering, Design Engineering, Product design, Product Development, Computer assisted Design and Manufacturing, Regenerative Manufacturing, Unconventional Energy Sector, Smart Materials, Material Property enhancement via Composites etc, to name a few. Within the department, A handsome number of Faculty members having plenty academia experience, post Ph.D. is available, who have the exposure of various IITs/NITs’ academic systems.   • Eligibility

    • Candidates for admission to the Ph.D program shall have 55% marks in Master's degree for the admission in Applied Science & Humanities (Biotechnology, Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, English), Law, Management and Education. • However, 60% marks in Master's degree remaining Courses (Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering & Application, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Pharmaceutical Sciences).

      • The applicant will have to qualify the Ph.D. entrance test conducted by the University or central bodies such as UGC /CSIR etc. The qualified applicant will be interviewed by the respective departmental research committee.
