Promoting a Safe, Respectful and Inclusive Campus

The Internal Committee (IC) is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus where every student, faculty member, employee, and visitor is treated with dignity and equality. Constituted under the POSH Act, 2013 and functioning in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2015, the Committee works to prevent, prohibit, and address sexual harassment through a fair, confidential, and impartial process.

In addition to complaint redressal, the IC conducts awareness programmes, workshops, and sensitization initiatives to promote gender sensitivity, respectful behaviour, and a culture of accountability across the University. At GLA University, the Internal Committee stands as a symbol of trust and responsibility, reinforcing our commitment to an inclusive campus where every individual can pursue academic and professional excellence with confidence and peace of mind.

The Gender Champions Cell (GCC)

Students Leading the Way Towards Gender Equality

The Gender Champions Cell (GCC) serves as a student-led platform dedicated to fostering gender sensitivity, equality, and mutual respect across the university community. The Cell promotes awareness of gender-related issues by encouraging active student participation in campaigns, workshops, seminars, and other sensitization initiatives.

Gender Champions act as peer ambassadors, helping to create an inclusive and respectful campus environment while identifying areas where greater awareness and sensitization are needed among students. The Cell also supports the dissemination of educational materials, information, and awareness resources to enhance understanding of gender equality and the promotion of a safe and supportive learning environment.

Together, the Internal Committee (IC) and the Gender Champions Cell (GCC) strive to create a campus where every individual feels respected, valued, heard, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
