Labs of Fluid mechanics and Fluid machines in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, have all modern and comprehensive experimental set ups as per the the course curriculum content. The fluid mechanic lab is for the students of third semester and fluid machines lab is for the fourth semester students of Mechanical Engineering Department. Basics knowledge that needs to be acquired by the students of mechanical engineering in the field of fluid mechanics and fluid machines are fulfilled by this lab. It enhances and broadens the students' knowledge of incompressible fluid mechanics. Besides this , lab provides hands-on experience with complex, nonlinear, non - uniform or unsteady fluid flow problems.

The laboratory is equipped with large number of modern equipments and experimental set ups to study the basic fundamentals and applied aspects of fluid mechanics and fluid machines. The experimental setups like metacentric height measurement, venturimeter, orificemeter, mouthpiece, rotameter, notches, viscometer, technique for the estimation of minor and major losses in the pipes, verification of Bernoullie's Theorem, impact of jet on vane, Pelton Turbine, Francis Turbine, Kaplan Turbine, Centrifugal Pump, Reciprocating Pump and Gear Oil Pump etc are made available to the students. The lab conducts closely with the lectures in such a way that experiments support the text covered in the classroom.
