The Society of Automotive Engineering, popularly known as SAE, was incepted in 1905. It was the brainchild of Andrew Ricker and Henry Ford. The prime objective behind constituting SAE was to accumulate the scattered automobile engineers working across the states of US under one flagship. However, SAE’s role soon expanded and it became an essential resource for the industry to share the engineering developments.
The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), registered as a non-profit engineering and scientific society, is dedicated to advancing mobility technology to serve human needs better. It defines the standard protocols for mechanical engineers. SAE emphasizes transport industries such as automotive, aerospace, and commercial vehicles.
GLA University established its Students Chapter SAE GLAU, under the roof of which students work synergistically to develop and study the latest automotive technology trends.
