Course Overview

Undergraduate programme in Economics at GLAU prepares the students for an array of careers. This new UG programme in Economics at GLAU is so designed that the students get equipped with the knowledge, tools and techniques of software technology and Management along with their Major domain of Economics. By the end of students’ years at GLAU, they are expected to have gained and enhanced the ability to think critically about issues from multiple perspectives and communicate effectively.
Our well-qualified faculties are dedicated to develop capabilities among the students so as to build a solid foundation for their career establishment.
This programme has research and field-based practical activities, regular presentations by the students and faculties. The department places strong emphasis on the holistic education and changing scenario of Economics through imparting basic knowledge, thorough rigorous pedagogy, flexible curriculum and hands-on experience from real-world situations.
It is an ideal programme for students who aspire to excel in the field of Economics and understand economic issues from both theoretical and applied perspectives. After completing this programme, Economics graduates can explore diverse career opportunities across public and private sectors. They leverage the strong analytical, quantitative, and research skills gained during the course to build successful careers in areas such as banking, finance, public policy, government administration, research institutions, international organizations, management consulting, market analysis, and corporate strategy.
