At the undergraduate level, we proudly offer the Bachelor of Arts in English (Honours with Research), a comprehensive program that delves into Language, Literature, Linguistics, Communication Skills, and Translation Studies. As per NEP 2020, the course has become more flexible now, shifting from a rigid 3-year course to a flexible 3-4 year undergraduate structure, allowing multiple entry and exit points. Students can earn certifications after one year, diplomas after two years, and a Bachelor's degree after three years. The 4-year program also offers a 'with Research' degree option for those completing a substantial research project in specified major areas. By opting for the 4-year structure, students will become eligible to apply for doctoral positions right after their undergraduate degree.
We extend our reach to students from various disciplines such as Engineering, Management, Law, Pharmacy, Sciences, Agriculture, and Bio-Technology, providing them with invaluable skills that open doors to opportunities in Academia, Corporate, Government, and other Professional Sectors.
For those passionate about advanced studies, our Doctoral Programme in English offers specializations in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, English Language Teaching (ELT), Translation Studies, Cultural Studies, Comparative Literature, and more. Looking ahead, we plan to introduce Masters Programs in Literature, Culture, Applied Linguistics, ELT, and Linguistics, designed to meet the academic needs and nuances of the English Language.
