Faculty Coordinator: Dr. Purnima Sharma (Assistant Professor)

Technical Assistant: Ms. Neha Agrawal

The Microprocessor Laboratory provides hands-on experience in understanding microprocessor architecture, instruction sets, and assembly language programming. Students perform arithmetic and logical operations, data transfer, and interfacing experiments using 8085 microprocessors. Through experiments, students develop analytical thinking, programming proficiency, and an understanding of hardware–software integration. The laboratory bridges theoretical concepts with practical implementation and prepares students to design, analyze, and troubleshoot microprocessor-based systems for various applications.

Objectives:

  • To understand the architecture, instruction set, and functioning of 8085 microprocessors.
  • To develop and execute assembly language programs for arithmetic, logical, data transfer, and data manipulation operations.
  • To understand various addressing modes and their applications in microprocessor programming.
  • To perform arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using assembly language programs.
  • To implement data transfer, block transfer, sorting, searching, and code conversion programs.
  • To understand the interfacing of memory and input/output devices with microprocessors.

Major tools/Hardware:

  • 8085 Microprocessor Kit
