The laboratory supports experiments involving in vitro cellular studies, particularly in the areas of drug discovery, evaluation of bioactive compounds, and cancer research. The facility provides an appropriate environment for students to perform cell-based experiments while maintaining aseptic conditions and controlled culture parameters.

The laboratory is equipped with essential instruments required for routine animal cell culture and cell-based research.

Major equipment includes a CO₂ incubator for maintaining cells under controlled temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide conditions a laminar air flow hood for providing a clean and aseptic working environment during cell handling and culture procedures; an inverted microscope for observing cell morphology, confluency, attachment, and growth, a centrifuge for separation and processing of cell suspensions and experimental samples; and a cell counting machine for accurate determination of cell concentration and viability. Other facilities include deep-freezer (-20°C), Refrigerator (4°C), camera and computer system installed with MagVision software, attached to the microscope.

The laboratory supports a range of experiments involving sterilization and aseptic techniques, cell culture maintenance, cell seeding, subculturing, cell counting, assessment of cell morphology and viability through MTT assay, establishing primary cell culture from spleen, evaluating the effect of drugs on cell proliferation, cryopreservation and thawing of cell lines. The facility can be utilized for comparative evaluation of experimental treatments and for preliminary screening of potential therapeutic agents using appropriate in vitro cellular models.

The laboratory provides essential utilities and facilities required for cell culture-based research, including an aseptic work area, controlled cell culture conditions, equipment for cell processing and counting, and microscopic facilities for regular monitoring of cultured cells. These facilities help ensure reproducibility and proper handling of cell cultures during experimental studies.
