The Physics and Optics Laboratory is designed for allowing practical examination of the underlying physics of many everyday phenomena, for example, study of optics and the behavior of light, electromagnetism, thermodynamics and mechanics.

A range of benchtop equipment are available in this room, including experiments concerned with optics. The room contains dark room curtains such that it can be partitioned into smaller zones suitable for the viewing of optical phenomena in reduced light conditions.
