Course Overview

Ph.D. (Electrical Engineering) is a doctorate program that takes the accountability to train the post graduates in the areas of Electromagnetism, Electrical Machines, Electromagnetic Devices, Electric Circuits, Generators and Motors etc. The course offers students to become proactive in designing circuits and electronic gadgets and work with Capacitors, Resistors, Transistors, Semiconductors, Inductors, LEDs, etc.

The course curriculum involves designing of electrical circuits and gadgets along with research work related to wireless communications, image and video processing etc. Other than this, the students can take on various electronic projects on Computers, Semiconductor, Cell Phones, Diodes, Generators, Motors, AC and DC Machines, Robots etc. They can opt for independent research work or start their own set up to become entrepreneurs.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. program shall have 55% marks in Master's degree for the admission in Applied Science & Humanities (Biotechnology, Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, and English), Law, Management and Education. However, 60% marks in Master's degree remaining Courses (Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering & Application, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Pharmaceutical Sciences).
