Research Summery

During his doctoral work, Dr. Pandey was basically involved in development of target based new chemotherapeutic agents and drug combination against uncomplicated/cerebral malaria. The study involved identification and characterization of new drug targets and thereby identification and lead optimization against the validated targets. The study was explored further for interaction of leads in their combination exploiting their target pathways.

Drug/target discovery for life threatening diseases and understanding the resistance mechanism are the primary areas of of Dr. Pandey’s research. He explored his previous knowledge and skills and got Post Doctoral fellowship on anticancer drug discovery at IIT Kanpur-India. During his Postdoctoral work at IIT- Kanpur, University of Nebraska and Ben-Gurion University-Israel, he worked on molecular oncology of prostate, lung and colon cancer. The study includes ‘Transcription factors and lipid metabolism in progression/metastasis and development of chemotherapeutic interventions’. Dr. Pandey expanded his knowledge and skill during post-doctoral work and learned several modern techniques for anti-cancer drug/target discovery.

He published >45 articles in reputed international/ national journals  and conferences having >1000 citations.

He joined as Assistant Professor (Research) at GLA University Mathura-India and establishing cancer drug discovery lab in this region.
