About Mathura Vrindavan

The birth place of Lord Krishna, Mathura is well connected by rail and road and located 140 km South-east of Delhi & 55 km. North-west of Agra. Held in sanctity by Hindus, Buddhist & Jain faiths, it has a long & requared history. The city is dotted with numbers of temples, the prominent ones being Krishna Janambhumi and Dwarkadhish. Today, Mathura has spread its wings beyond its formative years and is surrounded by numerous diminutive towns and hamlets. Just 15 km from Mathura, lies Vrindavan, which is equally enchanting and Captivating. By Air

  • Agra Airport - Approximately 60 km from Mathura (1-1.5 hours by road)

From the airports, you can hire a taxi or use pre-paid taxi services to reach Mathura. The conference organizers will also arrange for shuttle services from Delhi airport on specific dates.

By Train

Mathura is well-connected by rail to major cities in India:

  • Mathura Junction Railway Station - Located in the heart of the city
  • Delhi to Mathura - Multiple trains daily (2-3 hours journey)
  • Agra to Mathura - Multiple trains daily (1 hour journey)

From Mathura Junction, you can hire auto-rickshaws, taxis, or use app-based cab services to reach GLA University (approximately 12 km).

By Road

Mathura is well-connected by road to major cities:

  • Delhi to Mathura - NH-2 (Yamuna Expressway), approximately 150 km (2.5-3 hours)
  • Agra to Mathura - NH-2, approximately 60 km (1-1.5 hours)
  • Jaipur to Mathura - NH-21, approximately 300 km (5-6 hours)

Regular bus services are available from Delhi, Agra, and other nearby cities to Mathura. You can also hire taxis or use app-based cab services.
