2nd INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON “Aspects of Materials and Mechanical Engineering”
Department of Mechanical Engineering, GLA University, Mathura, U.P. India is organizing the 2nd International Conference on aspects of Materials and Mechanical Engineering (2nd ICMME 2023). The aim of the present conference is to bring together researchers, academicians, scientists, scholars, and industrial, research organizations around the world to discuss and present papers on recent developments in the broad fields of Materials and Mechanical Engineering. The 2nd ICMME 2023 also provides a premier interdisciplinary platform for a great gathering of both industrial and academic professionals from all over the world in the fields of Materials and Mechanical Engineering. It provides a major forum to exchange knowledge on the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns, as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of material processing and their characterization, developments of composite materials, thermal augmentation processes, and materials. All the accepted papers after double-blind peer review in the conference will be published in SCIE/ESCI/Scopus Indexed Journals..
The Department of Mechanical Engineering have a vision to be one of the best departments in the world. To achieve this objective, the department endeavours to produce graduates of high calibre through rigorous coursework and cutting-edge research. Students in the department are exposed to the problems faced by contemporary societies and are trained to develop technological solutions through innovative thought. These activities are driven by the teaching and research programmes of the department's faculty, which encompass numerous facets of Mechanical Engineering. The department encourages its students to participate in extracurricular activities in addition to their regular course load. The department have various collaborations with esteemed Societies/Institites/Clubs/Industries. ASME Student Chapter, SAE Collegiate Club, MoU with MSME (Micro Medium Small Enterprise) Technology Development Centre, Ministry of MSME Government of India Foundry Nagar, Agra, and MoU with National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad, under the Design Clinic Scheme for MSMEs in education and research. For applied research and scholarly pursuits, the department is equipped with Centre for Excellence CAR (Centre for automotive research), MNDRC (Micro-Nano Development Research Centre), and SOLAR Energy.
The Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, headquartered in Porto Alegre, capital of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, is a century-old institution, recognized nationally and internationally.He teaches courses in all areas of knowledge and at all levels, from elementary school to graduate school. Prof. Rangan Banerjee has done his B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering and his Ph.D. from IIT Bombay. He had a few years of experience at Cadbury’s TERI Engineers India Ltd. before joining the faculty at IIT Bombay in 1993. He has helped to set up a Department of Energy Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay and was its first Head. He has been involved in several projects for industry on energy efficiency, renewables and modelling. He has been the Dean (R&D) at IIT Bombay and was responsible for several new initiatives for research infrastructure, industry consortia and centres, technology transfer and licensing and supporting student research. He was involved in setting up a Megawatt Scale Solar Thermal Power Plant cum test Facility Sponsored by MNRE. He was the faculty advisor of Team Shunya- a student team that represented India in Solar Decathlon Europe, China and the US and built houses running on solar energy. He has advised the city of Mumbai the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission, MNRE, Planning Commission and the Niti Aayog on energy related issues. He was a lead author of the Global Energy Assessment Coordinated by the International Institute of Applied Systems Analysis and was a member of the International Review Committee for the RCUK Review of UKs Energy programme. Since 2022 February, he is the Director of IIT Delhi and a professor in the Department of Energy Science and Engineering. He has been awarded the excellence in Teaching award at IIT Bombay and is a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering. He has also been an Adjunct Professor (Honorary) in the department of Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University.
