Cloud Computing Lab

Cloud computing is on-demand access, via the internet, to computing resources like applications, servers, data storage, development tools, networking capabilities, etc. The objective of the cloud computing lab is to learn the cloud architecture and its efficiency, and tools to provide virtualization on cloud. Students at this lab can enhance their skills in this domain by installing various hypervisors and instantiation of VMs with image files using open source hypervisors like VMWare Player, Virtual Box, Xen and KVM. Additionally the client server communication can be established between two virtual machine instances, execution of chat application. One of the core objectives of this lab may include the familiarization and usage of the cloud services with open source cloud tools such as Eucalyptus, Openstack, Open Nebula, etc. This lab researchers and developers a platform to experiment with scalable computing resources, storage, and virtualization. The lab facilitates innovation in areas like data analysis, machine learning, and application development, revolutionizing the way we harness the power of the cloud.
